Zoolights

We thought it would be fun to take Kaeley to Zoolights at the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. They put up different animal shapes and decorate them in lights...it's pretty cool.

Before we left, there was a machine making snow that kids were playing in so Donnie thought it would be fun to dance with Kaeley in the snow. When he was done he came back over and said that he had opened his mouth and tasted it and that it tasted weird. I looked closer at him as there was a snowflake on him still and low and behold....it was actually soap!!! HAHAHA!!!

Fun with friends

A week ago we went to our friends house to celebrate their son (Jack) 1st birthday. He and Kaeley were pretty cute crawling around together.

I'm a slacker....

I know...I know!!! I've been slacking on the blog!! In the past month since Kaeley has been crawling, I've had to advert my attention to making sure she doesn't get into things she shouldn't and make sure she doesn't climb on something and fall. We did finally get the gate system which will help keep her more contained to a safer area but we just have to figure out the configuration that will work the best for our area. Anyway-I hope to get her in her sleeping in her room very soon. With her new climbing ability, I can't trust her in the cradle anymore. The only thing keeping us from putting her in her room right now is we have to move the mattress down to the lower level. It's sad that she never slept in it as an infant, course that's my fault!!! I haven't wanted her to be that far away. Donnie and I joke that we'd get bunk beds in our room if it were kosher to have everyone sleep together!! : ) It has been nice at night having her in our room though cause when she wakes up, I just get her out of bed and let her nurse while we both fall back to sleep. With me working and having to get up at 4:45 am I'd be a zombie if I sat up and nursed her and rocked her back to sleep every time she woke up. Anyway-here's a couple recent pictures of Kaeley....the first one is of her dancing to some music on one of her toys.

The bees from our hive

So last year we bought Koda a cute little bee costume since it would look good on a black doggie...so we thought it would be cute to dress him up in that again and get Kaeley as costume to match. So they were our little bees!!! Donnie is a pregnant nun....haha. I'm a Devil Diva (at least as diva as I wanted to get!!) HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Pumpkin carving

We had our friends Maddy and Mike (Who) over to carve pumpkins. We had a great time. Donnie's is the one with the pumpkin lite brite pegs in it....he chose not to carve because he always starts with this grand idea and by the time it's done it's almost unrecognizable!! Haha!! Mine is just the simple pumpkin face, Maddy's is the elaborate tree carving and Mike (Who's) is the double-face one. Kaeley's is the small one....we never quite got around to have her try to color on it....next year. Ok so some of you may be wondering why I'm putting "who" behind Mike's name...well here's why. So the first time we met Mike (who is Maddy's boyfriend) we were all in the car driving to Applebee's for dinner and Maddy kept talking about Mike. Well leave it to Donnie....he interrupts Maddy and asks..."Who's Mike?" I was mortified and I'm like "Ummm...he's in the back seat." So needless to say it's a standing joke between us and that's now just what we call him....Mike Who!!!

The great pumpkin search

Today we went to get pumpkins. The weather was not all that great but at least the rain held out. It was pretty chilly so I had Kaeley all bundled up. Luckily we found 3 great pumpkins!!! I'm also sporting a new haircut. I was tired of tiny fingers thinking they can tangle and pull all they want!! : )

So we had Kaeley asleep in her swing (where she takes her naps) and down came her headband while she slept. Needless to say, that came right off!!

Okay....so don't let the picture freak you out!!! We got out all our Halloween decorations and of course he finds a long black wig I wore for a vampire costume a few years ago. He looked pretty hysterical with it on so I thought I would share it!!

So I walk out of the room for a second while Kaeley was playing on the floor. She saw me leave and let out a little cry. When I walk back in, I see we have a new babysitter. Koda had taken it upon himself to comfort her. He sure does love her.....and she loves him too!!!

Donnie and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary on Tuesday.....Wow!!! Can't believe it's been 3 years already!!! And what a great journey we've had so far. Anyway-Donnie sent me a beautiful bouquet at work and I just wanted to share it's beauty with you!!

And then it reared it's "ugly" head.....

Here we have our first official shot of the thing most changing our lives......the TOOTH!! This one didn't seem to affect her too much. However.....we now have the second tooth on the way and that one is seeming to make things more painful. Poor thing!! Hopefully in the next week or two I'll get a shot of her cute toothy grin!!

Happy 6 month birthday!!

So Kaeley turned 6 months old on Sept 23rd. Where does the time go?? We went to Target and bought her a new little toy for the occasion. She loves it!!! (Don't mind the food on her shirt!! She had just eaten!! haha )

The pool

So we took Kaeley to a neighborhood pool yesterday. She was super cute and absolutely loved it!! We're going on a cruise in November so we wanted to test her out in the water before we went. She had a blast kicking and splashing and loved that Daddy was swimming with her. Since I stayed on the sideline taking pictures, I'll be sure to join them next time!!!

We're here!!!

Well I've decided to join the ranks and start a blog!! I love dropshots but I can't exactly tell a story about a photo as easily. This way I can give details and updates a lot easier. Anyway-we're all doing great. We are enjoying watching Kaeley grow up!! She is truly amazing. Donnie and I will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary in a few weeks....pretty exciting!! I can't believe it's been 3 years already. Where does the time go?? Well-look forward to viewing our expanded online family!!
